We just stumbled upon this video showing how the very laptop one uses on a daily basis without giving any second thoughts to how it was manufactured and how it came to belong to them is to be held responsible for considerable damage done to the environment.

Of course, this only need be the case if the company which made it relies on traditional energy sources and does not have a proper recycling policy.

Besides the fact that the music accompanying the video is pretty cool, this 2:18-minute short film is highly educational, in the sense that it makes one think twice about how important it is to recycle various components which go into the making of electronic goods, and about how energy efficiency need be given due consideration as soon as possible.

The video was released by the World Wildlife Fund quite a while ago, as part of their “Change the Way You Think about Everything" campaign.
