That's right, it would not take nature very long to take over our favorite shopping centers and transform them forever

This might come as a bit of a shock, but as it turns out, there are some species that would dearly miss us, were we to suddenly go extinct.

Lice, rats and all sorts of creatures that we despise but that depend on us to stay alive are among these creatures.

Then again, plenty of other species would love nothing more than to see us disappear off the face of the Earth and thus be able to reclaim the land that was once theirs and that they lost when we got busy building cities.

The video below made it online just a few days ago, when it was shared with the public by the folks behind YouTube channel Earth Unplugged. It has since been viewed thousands of times.

As you've probably figured out, this video tells the tale of what would happen if we humans were to go extinct. Fair warning: such a scenario is not as gloomy as many – especially those more narcissistic of the bunch – would like it to be.

Long story short, our good old pets would very quickly learn to live without us, and all sorts of plants would end up populating our homes and favorite shopping centers. Even the dirty power stations we've built throughout the decades would eventually be destroyed.

By the looks of it, the only things to survive our demise for all eternity would be the radio and television broadcasts that are now traveling across space and that will continue to do so for, well, forever.
