The suit channels the current into the ground, keeps the person inside it safe

One would think that, of all the things that could protect people against getting struck by lightning, a suit of armor should be the last on the list. In fact, it should not even be on the list.

It turns out this is not the case. As surprising as this may sound, a suit of armor is actually the best defense against lightning one could ever hope for. Check out the video above to learn why.

Apparently, the suit would act as a Faraday Cage. More precisely, it would effectively channel the current into the ground, thus protecting the person inside it.

Those who get caught in a thunderstorm and don't have their suit of armor with them can reduce their risk of getting hit by lightning by squatting and keeping their feet close together.

By the looks of it, lighting doesn't really fancy short people. Besides, reducing the surface area on the ground reduces the risk of being hurt by electricity spreading from a nearby strike point.
