Their 100-pound babies look adorable in their eyes

By now, most people are all too familiar with seal and polar bear cubs, and pretty much everybody agrees they are adorable to say the least.

However, baby walruses do have their appeal as well, at least as far as their mothers are concerned.

Some people might shy away from a baby whose mustache can easily compete with that of an elderly man, yet the mother walrus sees nothing wrong with its cubs' growing facial hair at such an early age.

Interestingly enough, as this video shows, mother walruses and their babies hug on quite a regular basis, and watching them do so is quite a sight.

Although walruses leave their colony and go in search of a patch of ice when they have to give birth, they accept any help they can get from friendly relatives and acquaintances once the cub arrives.
