By now, most people are all too familiar with Vivienne Westwood's collaboration with Greenpeace and her agreeing to get involved in their Save the Arctic campaign.

Apart from her choosing the flag for the organization's upcoming trip to the North Pole, Vivienne Westwood saw fit to create a so-called Save the Arctic design and show it to the world during this year's Paris Fashion Week.

The heart-shaped design is to adorn the jackets of those getting ready to soon ski to the North Pole in order to plant a flag and take a stand against drilling in this part of the world.

“Hope lies with the people all around the world who are prepared to stand up and be counted. That is why it is so important to me to use fashion as a way to send a message; we have to put the planet first,” Vivienne Westwood says.
