Bugs are surprisingly nutritious, eating them also helps protect the environment

Several studies have linked the meat and dairy industry to environmental pollution, and many researchers have suggested that it might not be such a bad idea to start raising fewer cattle, poultry and the like.

In case anyone thought that, should we give up on meat and dairy, there would not be all that many options left, here's a video intended to prove otherwise.

The footage was posted online by the folks at BuzzFeed just yesterday, and it details why more people in the world should give eating insects a try.

As it turns out, these creatures contain a lot of protein, fiber, and nutrients like iron and zinc. Needless to say, this makes them quite healthy.

Besides, unlike livestock, insects can constitute a cheap and sustainable food source for the world's growing population.

Have a look at the video, and let me know in the comments section below whether or not you would ever gulp down one or more insects.
