Scientists are working on developing electronics that dissolve in water

There's this scene in some movies that shows a he or a she getting so sick and tired of the world that they go to the beach and throw their phones in the ocean.

The gesture seems liberating, but odds are that cell phone will end up hitting a sea turtle in the head. And even if it doesn't, it will still spend many years on the sea floor.

For some reason, I suspect marine creatures won't be too happy about having it around.

The good news is that scientists at the University of Illinois are now working on developing what they call vanishing electronics. Check out the video above to learn more about their work.

The gadgets and gizmos they hope to soon roll out would dissolve in water. Hence the name of the project: “Born to Die.”

I don't know what you think, but I for one can't wait for such electronics to hit the market.
