If you're asking Microsoft, Internet Explorer is the greatest browser on Earth and the recently launched products, such as the Surface tablet, make it even better than that by bringing full touch support and a plethora of other features.

That's actually the idea behind these two new commercials that showcase Internet Explorer's touch-capabilities, while also emphasizing that Microsoft's in-house browser is perfectly integrated into some other products, such as Windows 8.

As you know, Internet Explorer is available in two different flavors on Microsoft's modern operating systems, namely the traditional desktop build plus a touch-optimized version specifically designed to run in the Metro environment.

The touch version of Internet Explorer can cope with up to 100 tabs, the company said, without any noticeable slowdown in terms of speed, performance, of stability.

In the meantime, Redmond has already started work on a new Internet Explorer version, which could debut either later this year with a new Windows 8.1 update or in early 2015 with the brand new Windows 9.

Just like the existing versions, Internet Explorer 12 is very likely to come with two different builds, one specifically aimed at desktop users and another one for those with a touch-capable display, such as tablets and laptops.
