Earlier this year, folks visiting the Taipei Zoo in Taiwan's Wenshan District got to witness a most endearing scene. Long story short, they saw one turtle saving another that was stranded on its back.

Luckily for us, one of the Taipei Zoo visitors who witnessed this amazing rescue operation had a camera with them and filmed the entire incident. Fret not, the video is available below.

Although it is unclear how and why the turtle ended up stranded on its back with its feet moving around in the air, what is pretty obvious is that, without help from its friend, it would have remained in this rather uncomfortable position for quite a while.

Fortunately for the stranded turtle, one of its companions decided to lend it a helping hand. Thus, the video shows another turtle approaching the one in distress and flipping its body over. The stranded turtle makes a more or less smooth landing but walks away unharmed.

By the looks of it, the incident was caught on camera by a man who was visiting the zoo together with his daughter at that time. “The smart companion has saved it,” the man wrote in the video's description on YouTube. “I told my daughter with this opportunity, helping others is joyful,” he added.
