Tarsiers have eyes as big as their brains, owls can hunt in near perfect darkness and some cave fish have no eyes at all

Wildlife researchers are still busy trying to make heads or tails of Mother Nature's little mysteries, but the one thing they are sure of is that there are plenty of strange creatures populating our home planet.

This October 8, Earth Unplugged released a video documenting 10 of the oddest and at the same time coolest creatures ever to walk (or crawl or swim or fly) the face of the Earth.

The video, available below, is totally worth a few minutes of your time. Especially if you are one of those people who can't get enough of watching animals tend to their business in their natural habitats.

As it turns out, Earth is home to some really strange creatures dubbed tarsiers, whose eyes are about as big as their brains. These animals evolved to have such big eyes in order to be able to find food during nighttime.

Even wackier, there are some fish in this world that have no eyes whatsoever. The fish stopped growing them quite a while ago, when the realized that, since they only lived in caves, they had no need for them.

I don't want to ruin your experience watching this video, so I won't reveal the identity of the strange night creature that secured the first place in this top 10. I will, however, say this: it's one really awesome fellow.
