The development team at The Creative Assembly and publisher SEGA are delivering a new and massive Twitch-based look at the upcoming Imperator Augustus campaign, which is set to be included in the new Emperor Edition of Total War: Rome II.

Gamers can see how all the included factions are placed on the map and the kinds of challenges that they face, as the new narrative-driven experience starts just after the death of Julius Caesar, with three major commanders, Octavian, Marc Anthony and Lepidus, trying to secure his legacy.

The developers have updated both the civil war and the political mechanics for the new campaign of the game, and there are also improvements to the way building chains work, which should make the strategy title more realistic.

The stream also highlights some very cool battles and shows how the various factions can field varied forces in order to challenge their enemies.

Total War: Rome II – Emperor Edition will be launched on September 16 and is entirely free for all those who have bought the original game.

The new title in the series is set to be revealed during the end of September and seems to be entirely unrelated to the Ancient World.
