Nothing fancy, just your basic summations. Then again, there's no denying the dog's brain power is pretty darn impressive. He doesn't even have to pause for a while to think about it. He simply delivers the correct answer on the spot.
Since dogs haven't yet learned to speak, the furry mathematician taps on a lever, which in turn rings a bell to tell people the result he's come to. Two taps for one plus one, ten for five plus five. Yup, he can also count.
The crowd goes wild and the dog's owner seems mighty proud of his life companion. As for the dog, he doesn't look all that enthusiastic. Perhaps he's been doing math for so long it just doesn't seem like such a big deal to him any longer.
The video, posted online over the weekend, on Sunday, was shot by a passer-by on a street in the city of Taiyuan in China's Shanxi province. This hasn't been confirmed, but rumor has it that it has also been watched by academicians who now want to offer the dog a scholarship at a prestigious university.
