The iPhone 6 Plus hasn't been out in the wild for long, but those lucky enough to have gotten their hands on one such model are already putting the handset to the test.

It’s the case of Oregon-based photographer and filmmaker, Ben Canales who immediately after getting the iPhone 6 Plus embarked on a trip to the eerie and breath-taking Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains.

Here, Canales shoot a 3-minute short-film using only the iPhone 6 Plus (running iOS 8) in order to illustrate the capabilities of the gizmo in terms of cinematography.

Canales is the owner of a video production company in Portland, so he is quite familiar with professional video equipment. Even so, the iPhone 6 Plus didn't fail to impress him and he writes that the handset “made him feel like a 6 year old with a magic toy.”

The videographer praises the in-camera stabilizer capacity and Instagram Hyperlapse app and he concludes that the iPhone Plus is really amazing.

You can check out the spectacular results for yourself below, as the video takes us on a journey through spectacular scenery in this little corner of Heaven. You’ll probably feel like hitting the road, yourself.
