Say what you will about “Prometheus” and how riddled with flaws it is, but one thing is certain: with it, Ridley Scott has created an amazing, palpable, convincing universe. Part of that universe is the music.

The video above is a lengthy interview with the sound crew on “Prometheus,” in which they talk about the challenges of coming out with a score for such a visually and conceptually bold film.

It was no easy task: don't be fooled to assume it was.

“The SoundWorks Collection talks with the sound team of Director Ridley Scott’s latest science fiction film 'Prometheus' including Supervising Sound Editors Mark Stoeckinger and Victor Ennis, Sound Re-recording Mixers Ron Bartlett and Doug Hemphill, Sound Designers Ann Scibelli and Alan Rankin, and Sound Effects Researcher Charlie Campagna,” the description of the video says.

No matter what critics say and how much they thrash the film on several considerations, they will never be able to deny it two things: its amazing visuals and its equally amazing music.

See the video to find out how the latter came to be.
