Microsoft confirmed a few hours ago that its new Surface Pro would go on sale on February 9 in both the United States and Canada, with pricing to begin at $899 (€675) for the 64 GB model.

The device won’t be offered with a Touch Cover, but instead it will feature a Surface Pen stylus to easily access specific features while working on the desktop.

The Surface Pro will run the full version of Windows 8 Pro and will come with support for legacy apps, which means that x84 and x64 software will be supported too.

As compared to the Surface RT, the Pro tablet will go on sale from the very beginning at non-Microsoft stores, with Best Buy and Staples to become the first two retailers that will get the device in early February.

Looks great and I'm sure will be a successful product that will deny all malicious rumors as we have seen in previous articles on sofpedia with all sorts of so called analysts announcing Microsoft disaster.

Really?

Personally I hope M$ crashes and burns within the coming decade and I love how they seem to be desperately making a run at it.

Maybe then people will start to realise that there are alternatives to waisting their money on this greedy and ignorant company that can't be bothered with customer needs and complaints.

Just my 2 cents...
