A brand new The Evil Within video has just been released by Bethesda, this time examining how the survival horror game's enemies are created in terms of audio and sound design.

The Evil Within is the next big project set to be published by Bethesda, and for quite some time the team at Tango Gameworks has been working hard on the survival horror experience, under the supervision of legendary Japanese designer Shinji Mikami.

In order to nail the atmosphere of the survival horror game, great efforts were made in terms of visuals but also when it came to the audio design.

Sound Designer Mashahiro Izumi stars in a fresh video from Bethesda, showing just how he creates the sound an enemy monster makes when it chomps the neck of the playable character.

As you can see below, in order to make such gory sounds, the process is actually pretty delicious, as it involves Izumi chomping down on a cantaloupe, but also some noodles, marshmallows, or potato chips.

The resulting sounds are then mixed up, slowed down, and the result is certainly something that will terrify players of The Evil Within when the new game is going to appear later this fall for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
