If you own an Android Wear smartwatch, this article is going to show you that the device can be used for a lot more than just relaying notifications to your wrist.

Currently, there’s a little, tiny 3.1MB app in the Google Play store that helps you take over the brain of the Tesla Model S, so you can control the car to lock & unlock it, honk the horn, and change the state of the sunroof.

To be able to be part of a science-fiction scenario like this, you’ll be needing an Android Wear smartwatch. The guy in the video is showing us a demo using the LG G Watch, but it’s safe to say the same could be achieved with the Samsung Gear Live.

Anyway, by going through the short demo video you’ll be able to see for yourself how you can lock and unlock your car from your wrist by virtue of a simple tap.

The application enabling you to do so is available for free download and your smartwatch needs to run at least version 4.1 of the OS.

Hopefully, as time passes by, more functionalities will be added, because let’s be honest, it’s mighty cool to be able to do these things and we already want more!
