CEO Steve Ballmer has announced a major reorganization plan for the Redmond-based technology giant he manages, in an attempt to ensure a steady growth of the profit on the long term.

As you can see in this video, Ballmer calls the new company “One Microsoft,” as he expects the internal divisions to work closer as a whole and collaborate on several projects.

As part of the reorganization, Julie Larson-Green, Windows boss and one of those considered a potential replacement for Steve Ballmer at the helm of the company, will be in charge of the hardware unit that also includes key projects such as Xbox and Surface.

Ballmer wants Microsoft to fully embrace these kinds of products, as he wishes the company to migrate towards a devices and services concept.
