Genetically modified wheat shows up in Oregon, Monsanto is held responsible

Not long after hundreds of people protested GMOs, genetically modified wheat showed up in Oregon. What is interesting is that Monsanto claims to have stopped producing this type of wheat 9 years ago, in 2005.

The company also says that it has absolutely no idea how it was that the wheat ended up in the aforementioned state, and that it suspects sabotage.

Stephen Colbert could not help but poke fun at both the company and its so-called Frankenwheat. Check out the two videos below to see what Stephen Colbert has to say about all this mess.

As he jokes, it matters very little that Monsanto risks paying a fine of $1 million (€0.76 million) for this incident, seeing how this company makes this much money faster than your average Joe and Jane can even begin to imagine.
