Although there have been a few reports that Sony Mobile and Microsoft might team up to offer Windows Phone fans new smartphones manufactured by the former, the Japanese company will most likely concentrate on Android devices at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2014 trade fair.

Sony's CES 2014 press conference is set to begin at 5pm PST and will be streamed online, so we will be able to witness all the announcements live.

Lots of Sony Xperia phones have been popping up online recently, so we expect the Japanese handset maker to launch at least a few mid-range devices and possibly one high-end smartphone.

Given the fact that Sony has already announced the Android 4.4 KitKat upgrade scheduler for some of its products, we won't expect anything new to be unveiled at CES 2014 trade fair.
