As it turns out, time travel in movies is not really scientifically feasible

For some reason (and this reason being that it's totally cool and mind-blowing), the movie industry appears to be utterly, completely, and irrevocably in love with the idea of time travel.

Then again, maybe it's us, ordinary folks, who are fascinated with time travel, and the movie industry is just pretending to like it to get and keep us hooked. But let's not get carried away with conspiracy theories.

The folks at ScreenJunkies could not help but notice this adoration that Hollywood seems to have for time travel. Hence, they contacted a bunch of scientists and asked for their opinion on movies like “Groundhog Day,” “Back to the Future,” and “Planet of the Apes.”

Check out the video below to learn what these scientists had to say on the topic, but be warned: you might not like it. Not if you live under the impression that, when making a time travel movie, Hollywood spends hours on end focusing on the science of it.

Thus, as it turns out, many of the time travel scenarios the movie industry has thrown at us over the years have very little to do with the laws of physics. Therefore, they are not what some would call feasible. Luckily for us, they are pretty darn entertaining.
