14 DAY TRIAL // The first official teaser for “In Saturn’s Rings” space film on IMAX was released not too long ago and the images are stunning.
Cassini-Huygens spacecraft took countless pictures in high resolution of Saturn and its moons as it orbits around the planet.
Some of these images have been put together into a documentary entitled “In Saturn’s Rings” by filmmaker Stephen van Vuuren.
While the images used for the movie are still, van Vuuren used a photographic fly-through technology to make them look animated.
He also insists that no CGI or visual effects were used for the making of the documentary.
The movie is set to hit IMAX theaters, museums, planetariums and some 4K digital cinemas next year, although a release date has yet to be fixed.
