As the saying goes, with great power comes great responsibility. So if you happen to be the President of the United States, you most likely have a ton of responsibilities on your hands.

One of them is keeping your word and taking measures to fight back climate change and global warming before it is too late.

In a new ad, made available to you in the video above, actor Robert Redford urges President Obama to roll out rules and regulations aimed at phasing out coal as an energy source and replacing it with renewables.

The ad is reportedly part of a campaign launched by the country's Natural Resources Defense Council, and will run in social media, online and on TV.

Curbing coal consumption is not just about protecting the planet, but also about making sure we get to live long and healthy lives, Greenpeace explains in a recent report.
