Here's something to brighten up your Wednesday and help you get through the rest of this working week with a smile on your face: a video showing six rehabilitated sea lions being released back into the wild.

According to Ecorazzi, these sea lions were found by conservationists patrolling beaches in Peru. Some of them were injured, whereas others appeared to have been poisoned by local fishermen who see them as competition.

The marine mammals were nursed back to health by the folks at ORCA (the Organization for Research and Conservation of Aquatic Animals). Once they all showed signs of feeling significantly better, they were allowed to return to their home in the ocean.

By the looks of it, human activities are to blame for about 80% of the marine mammal strandings reported in Peru on a yearly basis.
