“Friday” follow up song is called “Saturday” but it’s not half as horrible as that one

Say what you will about Rebecca Black and how she’ll never go anywhere with her “music” but here she is, two and a half years after the release of the much-derided “Friday” song and music video, and she’s still getting the attention of millions of people from all over the world.

This Black Friday, Rebecca made a video of her reaction whilst watching her “Friday” viral and, as it turns out, it was just a gimmick to get us paying attention once before, because she was prepping the release of a new music video.

It’s called “Saturday” and it’s embedded above, for your viewing pleasure. Packed with “Friday” throwbacks, it confirms Rebecca’s sense of humor but also that whoever is advising her knows what they’re doing.

As for the quality of the song, it’s not half as horrible as “Friday,” though it doesn’t lack a couple of very idiotic lyrics. It’s hard to make fun of it, even if you don’t like it.

Whether you think it’s good or bad, there’s no denying that it’s a viral hit as well. As we speak, “Saturday” sits at almost 3 million views so, while you laugh at Rebecca or merely shrug her “music” off (like I admit I just did), she’s giggling all the way to the bank.
