The marine mammal is called Migaloo, returns to these waters every year

Ever since the year 1991, when it was first spotted, an adult albino whale has kept showing up in the waters near the Australian coast.

Because this is the only all-white humpback adult documented so far, the people here have really taken a liking to it, and named it Migaloo.

Sources explain that humpback whales presently find themselves on their annual migration from the Great Barrier Reef to the Antarctic, seeing how the time has now come for them to leave their breeding grounds.

Unfortunately, recent closeups of this whale indicate that it is now suffering from cancer.

Specialists explain that this is most likely because, being an albino, it lacks protection from the sun's light.

Apparently, the whale got its name from a word in a Queensland aboriginal dialect, which means "white fella."
