Watch Raiden Slice Enemies in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance

New footage from Metal Gear Solid: Revengeance shows main character Raiden actually using the slicing mechanics that are at the core of the game.

This is the first time since the Platinum Games team has taken over the game that fans get to see actual footage taken from the game, more specifically the tutorial of the whole experience.

The most impressive moves are near the middle of the video, when Raiden manages to slice one enemy in three sections while in the middle of a jump.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is an action-focused game in the series that Hideo Kojima has created and the presence of Raiden will allow the development team to create a fast-paced experience while also introducing some stealth elements.

The game is set to be launched on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 at some point during 2013.

Kojima is also thought to be working on a stealth-based Metal Gear Solid.
