14 DAY TRIAL // It's often said that it's lions that are the kings and queens of the jungle. This might be true, but as it turns out, porcupines are not exactly the lousiest creatures ever either.
The video below was shot in a private reserve next to South Africa's Krueger National Park not too long ago. The footage made it online towards the end of last week and has since gone viral.
The absolutely amazing video shows a porcupine putting up quite a fight when coming face to face with a pride of lions and managing to escape with life despite being way smaller than the felines and outnumbered by them.
If we're gonna be honest here, it must be said that, if faced with a pride of lions, most of us would either try to make a run for it on simply lie on the ground and hope for the best.
The porcupine, however, decides to battle the felines. Thus, the creature stands its ground and keeps shoving its spikes into the lions' face, threatening to seriously injure them should they attack it.
Luckily for the porcupine, the lions eventually figure out that it’s best to leave the odd-looking animal be and go looking for their next meal someplace else.
