The polar bear family was caught on camera while enjoying a midday snooze

I don't know about you, but I for one could not care less about what scientists studying yawns have been up to lately. On the contrary, for me, this video is proof enough that yawning is annoyingly contagious.

The footage above was shared with the public just yesterday by green group the World Wildlife Fund.

It shows a polar bear mom and its offspring enjoying a midday snooze, and looking and acting as if nothing could ever bother or upset them.

In all fairness, the polar bear mom appears to be the one more interested in the idea of taking a nap. The cub, on the other hand, seems to have other things – most likely playing – on its mind.

Still, almost immediately after its mom yawns so hard that one might think it hasn't slept in months, the cub follows its lead and it too opens its tiny mouth and lets out a heartfelt yawn.

One can only hope that, eventually, the polar bear mom and its cub did in fact snuggle up together and enjoyed a much-deserved nap.

Fair warning, before you hit the “Play” button and watch the video, you might want to clear your schedule for the rest of the day. This is because the footage will probably make you feel like taking a nap yourself.
