At the beginning of January, I introduced you to a pair of polar bear cubs born at Hellabrunn Zoo in Munich, Germany towards the end of last year.

The twins are now all grown up, and have recently made their public debut. The polar bear cubs stepped outside their den accompanied by mother Giovanna, and almost immediately took a liking to their surroundings.

By the looks of it, these two little furry creatures know that they were born to be in the spotlight, hence the fact that they did not appear to be all that bothered to have lots of people staring, giggling and pointing their fingers at them.

Zoo employees say that it's been thirty years since the facility was last home to a set of polar bear twins, which is why these adorable fellows are now at the center of attention.

Despite the fact that she has never been a mom before, Giovanna is doing a great job looking after her offspring. Thus, the polar bear mother closely monitors their every step, and never lets them stray too far from its nurturing arms.

“Giovanna is caring for her twins very capably as if she were an experienced mother, but at seven years old, she is actually a first-time mum!” curator Beatrix Köhler said in a recent statement.
