If you are a gamer and you also enjoy viewing the Transformers series, then Acer, one of the leading vendors in the worldwide PC market, has something for you right now. It's called Aspire PREDATOR and it is one mean-looking
desktop PC. Designed mainly as a high-performance gaming rig, this system brings out all of the new technologies into one single exquisite looking chassis.

Acer has decided to make a big impact on a market that has the most knowledgeable users. Gaming computers are known for integrating the latest technologies and for offering the highest performance levels consumer PCs can provide. Acer's PREDATOR states its mightiness from the first moment you set your eyes on it. The red chassis has been designed to help its users distinguish themselves from the overclocking and gaming community. Dubbed the PREDATOR, the case looks like the desktop PC version of the Transformers' Optimus Prime.

If you manage to look away and beyond its external design features, the PREDATOR will really prove its potential. The rig has been designed to accommodate the latest multi core CPUs and a multi-GPU setup. The motherboard sports the NVIDIA nForce 780i SLI chipset, which means it will provide support for Intel's Core 2 Extreme CPUs and NVIDIA's latest GeForce lineup. As far as memory is concerned, users will be able to go as far as 8 GB on the four Dual-Channel supporting DDR2 memory DIMMs. Storage should not be an issue with this gaming monster, as it can accommodate SATA HDDs up to 1 TB with RAID support, through NVIDIA's MediaShield Storage Technology2.

All of the above specs mean that the PREDATOR will need a strong power supply, which has been provided in the form of a 1000W PSU. All of the extra options built-in will provide users with the necessary tools for dealing with the latest releases in PC gaming.

As for cooling, Acer has decided that the three GeFoce 9800 GTX graphic cards and the multi core CPU will deal with a liquid cooling solution. Come to think of it, this was to be expected as most of today's high performance desktop gaming rigs provide such a solution.

Price and availability have not been made public yet, but Acer recommends its fans to turn to their local Acer representation office for more information.
