14 DAY TRIAL // The Crew, the upcoming multiplayer-only racing game from Ubisoft, has just received a fresh gameplay video that emphasizes its huge open world as well as how players can form their own group and explore it together.
Ubisoft has quite a few different games set to appear this fall, but apart from blockbusters in major franchises, like Assassin's Creed Unity, Rogue, or Far Cry 4, it also has a brand new and quite ambitious project, in the form of The Crew.
The online-only racing game promises to deliver a huge open world that can be explored in a variety of ways by players on many different platforms.
In order to convince fans of the game's quality, quite a lot of different screenshots and videos have been revealed by Ubisoft, as well as by the game's two partner developers – Ivory Tower and Ubisoft Reflections.
Now, a fresh trailer has just premiered on the UbiBlog, this time focusing only on the huge open world present in The Crew and how it can be explored by players both alone or together as part of a four-man crew. Besides aimlessly driving around, players can engage in all sorts of different activities, from story missions to smaller challenges and more.
"1,900 square miles. Thousands of missions and challenges. A world of possibilities. Join up with three friends and make sure you never drive alone in The Crew. Whether you want to just take a roadtrip from sea to shining sea, or conquer the map city by city (completing story missions as you go), The Crew has something for every driving fan," Ubisoft says.
Of course, the publisher also emphasizes the many different customization options as well as the various vehicle specs that players can choose, depending on their preferences and the type of activity they want to perform.
"Make your car the best it can be with 20 customization options and five unique vehicle Specs (The Crew’s version of a class), ensuring your ride will be unique to you. The Crew is an MMO and your vehicle is your character. Build it to fit your preferred playstyle and take it to the streets (or off the beaten path) and showcase your ride to the world."
The Crew already enjoyed a beta test stage on the PC last month and will see another one take place next week, starting on August 25. Invitations for the new trial should start appearing in the email inboxes of those who manifested their interest soon enough.
