This amazing video was shot just this past Sunday at Dolphin Quest, a wildlife park in Hawaii whose job is to both help safeguard various animal species, and raise awareness with respect to the need for environmental protection.

Apparently, this was the first time the 12-year-old mother dolphin, named Keo, had ever gone through such an experience, yet the marine mammal seems to know exactly what to do and even allows members of Dolphin Quest's staff to assist it.

The labor lasted for about one hour, but once the baby dolphin got out of its mother's womb, it immediately started swimming around, seemingly quite content to greet its new surroundings.

As was to be expected, the baby dolphin will be carefully monitored throughout the following 30 days, given the fact that it is within this particular time frame that they are the most vulnerable to various health threats.
