The next major Gamescom 2014 event that’s about to kick off after Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Multiplayer reveal is Microsoft’s press conference, which is scheduled to take place in Cologne, Germany on August 12.

Those interested to watch live Microsoft’s news briefing today should tune in to the company’s channels on YouTube and Twitch. The conference can also be watched via Xbox or Windows Phone. According to the official announcement, the event is set to begin at 5am PDT / 8am EDT / 1pm BST / 2pm CEST.

Word is that Microsoft is likely to make a Halo-related announcement, but new games, possibly exclusive, may be unveiled as well.

Xbox fans can expect more details and possibly some gameplay footage from the upcoming Quantum Break third-person action title developed by the folks at Remedy Entertainment.

Sunset Overdrive is likely to be present on the stage as well, along with a few other titles that are not necessarily exclusive, such as Assassin’s Creed Unity.

However, we’ll mostly be watching the conference for the yet-unannounced projects that Microsoft plans for the next year or so. Here is hoping that Microsoft has a few nice surprises in store for us, console gamers.
