It's years since Matt Damon first took an interest in helping people living in the developing world gain access to clean water and proper sanitation, and the American actor is nowhere near done working on this little project of his.

When nominated to participate in the Ice Bucket Challenge, he opted for pouring actual toilet water all over himself in an attempt to raise awareness about the fact that some people still lack access to this precious resource.

Check out the video below to see how it all went down. Be wary, though: if you're easily grossed out, you might not enjoy it all that much. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Toilet water in rich countries might be way cleaner than the one folks in the developing world have access to, but it's still toilet water. And Matt Damon simply pours an entire bucket of it on his head.

For those unaware, Matt Damon is the co-founder of a water charity dubbed Water.org, an American nonprofit organization is now working to bring clean water to about 800 million people in the world.

If you feel like lending the folks behind this charity a helping hand, head over to Water.org to learn more about their work, maybe even donate.
