Just in case some of you are in the mood to have their (lack of) patience and willpower put to shame today, here's a video showing a man taking the time to solve a mammoth and pretty much insanely complicated Rubik's cube.

The man, identified as Kenneth Brandon of Long Beach, California, claims that it took him nearly 8 hours to solve the Rubik's cube. Thus, he worked on this project over the course of 5 days.

Since chances are that few would ever watch 8 hours of footage showing a man turning a Rubik's cube around in a desperate attempt to get all the color tiles that comprise it aligned, Kenneth Brandon saw fit to release a time-lapse video documenting his achievement.

The video in question is available right under this article. Still, just in case there are some of you who have about 7 hours and 54 minutes to spare and who also happen to be big fans of puzzles, the full video is available just below it.

Kenneth Brandon says that he got the Rubik's cube from a guy named Aaron McDonald, who was the first to solve it a while back. In case anyone was wondering, the piece is designed by one Oskar Van Deventer and comprises a total of 1,539 colored tiles.
