In case you haven't quite figured out what you want for Christmas or for your next birthday, here is a video that might help you make up your mind.

Otherwise put, something tells me that, after watching this video, you will want nothing more than to say “goodbye” to your computer screen and your desk, and head over to California, US, where all that is cool seems to happen.

The footage made it online just yesterday, but it has already scored thousands of views. I don't know about you, but I for one am pretty convinced this is because deep blue seas and whales have loads of fans in this world.

According to the video's description on YouTube, the footage was shot in the waters off the coast of Dana Point, a city in the aforementioned state. It shows a man coming face to face with a pod of false killer whales.

The man featured in the video is identified as whale researcher Captain Dave Anderson. Unfortunately, the marine mammals all refused to share their identity with the public, most likely because they did not want to be harassed by the paparazzi afterwards.

For those unaware, false killer whales look like orcas, i.e. the real killer whales, but belong to another genus. However, they too kill and feed on other animals.
