14 DAY TRIAL // The development team at Rovio shows gamers the first glimpse of gameplay for the upcoming Angry Birds: Star Wars, with a trailer that focuses on Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia as they will appear in the spin-off from the very popular series.
The short clip shows the two heroes of the movie series as birds who proceed to battle pigs that take the forms of AT-AT walkers and Stormtroopers.
The soundtrack is also unmistakably drawn from the Star Wars series and features the song from the Cantina sequence.
The full Angry Birds: Star Wars will include more heroes and villains from the franchise but will otherwise stick close to the gameplay mechanics of the original game.
Angry Birds: Star Wars will be launched on November 8 and fans can get it on Windows 8 powered PCs through the OS store, on iOS and Android device and on the Kindle tablet from Amazon.
