14 DAY TRIAL // While we're waiting (more or less patiently) for Rian Johnson's movie “Looper” to arrive in theaters, one fan is keeping himself busy until the official release in the most creative way possible.
On his Vimeo page, Deepak Chetty has uploaded a video showing what “Looper” would look like as an 8 bit game, from visuals to sound.
Granted, the gameplay seems to come to a dead end shortly after it begins, but don't let that distract you from the awesomeness that is this video.
“Made this while waiting for other renders to go through,” Chetty writes.
“Definitely my most anticipated movie of the fall/winter. Hopefully this is a start of a series of cinema games that never existed. Used: After Effects/Photoshop,” the artist adds.
“Looper” stars Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and will hit theaters on September 28.
