Scientists explain climate change is to blame for this phenomenon

Lobsters living in the Gulf of Maine used to be quite friendly towards one another. But not anymore.

The video above explains how, due to global warming and overfishing, these creatures are turning into cannibals.

What happens is that, first off, lobsters living in warm waters reproduce more than they normally would. On the other hand, overfishing in the region has left the creatures without enough food to go around.

Because of the increase in their population and the decrease in their food supply, the lobsters have started to prey on one another. And they're quite gifted at slaughtering and gulping down others of their kind.

In all fairness, lobster does taste better than fish, so who can blame them?

Marine biologists explain that this phenomenon affects not just marine biodiversity, but also fishermen living and working in the area.
