First off, fair warning: those faint of heart might want to refrain from watching this video, as the sight of a poor, defenseless pumpkin being brutally killed by a vicious pack of lion cubs will surely haunt them for many days to come.

The video was shot at the Denver Zoo, and posted online just yesterday. The two cubs featured in it are named Sango and Sabi.

According to Huffington Post, playing with pumpkins is by no means something that lions living in captivity at this facility get to do all that often. On the contrary, they were offered this treat as a way to celebrate Halloween.

The pumpkin might not look anything like a gazelle, but the lion cubs could not care less.

Hence the fact that they're pouncing around it and sinking their teeth into it much as they would their next meal out in the wild.

Zoo keepers say that, this Thursday, they'll offer elephants living at this facility the chance to play with some oversized pumpkins, so stay tuned for another really entertaining video.
