According to the video's description, the footage was shot in the waters of the Antarctica. There are some people who say that the leopard seal featured in this video had no interest in the small boat and was merely looking to become friends with the kayaker.
However, it is my firm belief that, from the very first moment it laid eyes on the yellow boat, the marine mammal took a fancy to it, which is why it did not hesitate to swim up to it and hug it despite the fact that quite a lot of people were watching.
I don't know about you, but I for one hope that things will work out between the two of them and that the kayak will eventually realize that having a leopard seal fall in love with it is the best thing that could ever happen to it. When this happens, maybe the yellow boat will consider returning the hug.
