The lava eventually melts both the can and the ravioli inside it

Foodies who happen to keep ravioli very close to heart might want to skip this video, especially if they are particularly sensitive and therefore likely to burst into tears at the sight of one of their favorite dishes being destroyed by lava.

The video above made it online a few days ago, when it was posted on YouTube by Bryan Lowry, the same person who showed us what happens when soda cans are placed in front of a stream of molten rock.

This time, lava was used to wipe a can of ravioli off the face of the Earth. Unlike the cans of Coke, that disappeared with just a hiss signaling their demise, the ravioli featured in this footage goes down with a blast.

Thus, before being broken down into molecules, the can explodes, and its content goes flying through the air. According to Bryan Lowry, just five ravioli survived the experience.

They are still too terrified to talk to the press about what they have been through, and odds are all five will have to see a shrink several times before they can overcome the trauma that they suffered.
