LG confirmed a few weeks ago it would announce its next flagship Android smartphone on May 27. Well, it looks like the day has finally arrived for LG fans to get really hyped, as there are only several hours left until the official announcement.

Although most of the G3’s specs have already leaked ahead of the official reveal of the smartphone, it’s the in-depth details that could set the device apart from competition.

Still, LG will be the first major handset maker to launch a smartphone that boasts a display that support QHD (1440 x 2560 pixels) resolution. Samsung and HTC may launch similar handsets this year, but it looks like the G3 will be available ahead of its rivals.

Other than that, we also know the LG G3 will be packed with a powerful quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor inside, probably 3GB of RAM and either 16GB or 32GB of storage.

Those who wish to watch the LG G3 press conference live stream will be pleased to know that the South Korean company has made it possible for its fans to do so via its official YouTube channels.
