Odds are that, by now, public figures have gotten used to having green group PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) pick on them over habits and dietary choices that the organization does not approve of.

Still, I for one have to admit that I am a bit taken aback by the organization's decision to use kids to shame United States First Lady Michelle Obama into using plastic or ceramic eggs instead of real ones for this year's Easter Egg Roll at the White House.

Thus, in a new PETA video, available below, a bunch of young girls tell Michelle Obama that using real eggs instead of fake ones is wasteful. Besides, the kids argue that this practice counts as animal cruelty.

Together with the environmental group, the girls ask that First Lady Michelle Obama consider starting a new tradition and celebrate this year's Easter not with real eggs, but with cruelty-free, vegan, and re-usable ones.

As convincing as these young girls might sound, I for one doubt that Michelle Obama will give into their pleas and make the upcoming Easter Egg Roll on April 21 a tad more hen-friendly. What do you think? Let me known in the comments section.
