Video shows how this project threatens both the environment and public health

Just a few days ago, the State Department in the US released a report saying that, if built, the Keystone XL pipeline would have a minimal environmental impact, simply because tar sands would be exploited with or without this project's being implemented.

Greenheads do not exactly approve of the things written down in this report, and were quick to react by releasing this funny video that pokes fun at claims that the pipeline will greatly benefit the country's economy.

The video was pieced together by the folks at Movement Generation, and it argues that, should the pipeline be built, the only jobs that will be created will have to do with trying to minimize Keystone XL's impact on the environment and on public health.

“Some people might be offended by the video. But all the crazy things we say – making money off cancer victims, shredding Native American treaties – are what corporate projects like Keystone XL are really doing. We just took it to its logistical, ridiculous conclusion,” creator Josh Healey says.

If you have about six minutes to spare, I recommend that you spend them watching this video. More so if you are worried about how the Keystone XL pipeline project and exploiting tar sands will affect both the planet and human society.
