Kabang, the hero dog that lost her snout when saving two young girls from a speeding motorcycle, has finally been reunited with her family in the Philippines.

About a year ago, Kabang was sent to the United States, where specialists working with the veterinary medical teaching hospital at the University of California, Davis did their best to treat the injuries caused by the motorcycle.

They also had to treat Kabang for heart worms and cancer, but in the end, things turned out more than OK and the hero dog was allowed to return to her home.

Family, fans and local media all greeted Kabang at the airport and the dog doesn't seem to be in the least bothered by all the attention she is getting. Just look at her wag her tail and posing for the cameras!

Here's hoping that Kabang will be spared of any more trouble in the future and that she'll get to enjoy a long, happy life.
