Jackie Chan has recently teamed up with green groups the African Wildlife Foundation and WildAid, and the result is the PSA above.

In this video, Jackie Chan and a huge rhino that weighs about 6,300 pounds (2,857 kilograms) urge people not to buy items made from horns taken from such animals.

This is because, once there is no longer a demand for rhino horns products, poachers will be left with no choice except embrace another career.

“Never buy products made from rhino horn. When the buying stops, the killing can too,” Jackie Chan and Spike the rhino say. Huffington Post tells us that, while some people use rhino horns to make trinkets, others think that they have medicinal properties and consume them.

However, given the fact that these animal body parts are made of keratin, i.e. the same material found in human hair and fingernails, medicine made from them can only have a placebo effect.
