Six-year-old macaw Jack seems to be very happy with his life. He drinks beer and red wine, enjoys rocking out to Status Quo music, goes on car rides with his owner and wears a bright orange hoodie. I guess many humans would envy him for his wonderful life.

Owner Norie MacKinnon, from East Kilbride, has had the blue and gold macaw since he was three months old and describes the talking bird as his soul mate.

“We've just bonded together, we go everywhere together - as you can see he comes to the pub with me and he goes out in the car with me,” Norie says.

The bird, named after pirate captain Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, had a mate once, called Cheeky, but he couldn't stand her and kicked her out. But given his strong personality, I guess this didn't surprise his owner.

According to Daily Mail, Jack likes to accompany his owner to his local pub, the Stewartfield Farm in East Kilbride, for a pint of best. Actually, he is quite a booze lover and once got so drunk on Rioja he fell off his perch.

The feathered creature is a common sight around the town and can often be seen perching on his owner's shoulder or walking on his lead.

“He's a great character and a great companion. I love Status Quo too so we rock out together,” Norie added.

And although he is not a big talker, he does say phrases like “Geez a kiss,” “Where’s my boy?”and “Night night.”
