The iceberg's sudden fall births a positively stunning tidal wave

Just days ago, the online community came face to face with the video below. Almost in the blink of an eye, the footage started bouncing back and forth on the Internet, and eventually became a viral sensation.

The video shows one really big iceberg collapsing – most likely under its own weight – and falling into the water. When hitting the surface, the massive block of ice births one of the most impressive waves I for one have ever seen.

According to IFL Science, the footage was obtained by a couple identified as Rick and Wanda Stead, who were just sailing around the Bay of Exploits in Newfoundland when the iceberg decided to throw this fit.

Judging by her screams in this video, it's not difficult to tell that Wanda Stead really freaked out when she saw the huge block of ice disintegrating right before her eyes and falling into the water.

“I think my heart came up, and I swallowed it. I was petrified. All I could see was this tidal wave coming towards us,” the woman reportedly told the press in an interview following this incident.

Truth be told, chances are that there aren't all that many people in the world who could witness what Wanda and Rick did and remain calm. I don't know about you, but I for one am pretty sure that I would start screaming too if ever faced with such a scene.
